Opportunity for Action: TDEC Solid Waste and Material Management Plan

TDEC is working on a proposed 2015-2025 Statewide Integrated Solid Wate and Materials Management plan. When completed, this plan will outline how Tennessee will reduce, manage and dispose of its solid waste in the future.

TDEC is currently engaging in a round of public participation, when it invites and listens to questions and comments from the public, and another round of public participation meetings is scheduled for later in the year.

The E3 Committee has been closely following this process, as this plan could have a major effect on our state. To help people become involved E3 has posted this convenient TDEC Comment Card (just print it out and fill it out) and this draft letter of talking points which you can refer to when writing your own letter.
