Candidate Forum for State Representative

A Candidate Forum for State Representative for the 25th District will take place on Monday, September 24 at 8:00 a.m. in the Pleasant Hill Community House at Main Street and Church Drive in Pleasant Hill.

Continental Breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m. Everyone is warmly invited and urged to come with a neighbor.

The candidates for State Representative are Flo Matheson (D)  and Cameron Sexton (R).
The 25th District includes all of Cumberland County plus.

The candidates for the Pleasant Hill Town Council are incumbents and running uncontested.  At 8:00 a.m., they will be given the opportunity to introduce themselves and describe what they do on the Council and hope to accomplish. They are Lisa Patrick  and Wayne Sheeley.

Both State Representative candidates will be given about 10 minutes initially to essentially answer the following questions:

1. Who are you and what are your qualifications, experience and education ?
2. What is your platform or what do you hope to contribute?
3. What do you hope to see changed?
4. Why do you want the job?
5. Why should people vote for you?

The forum  will include questions from the audience and a time for individual contact.

Early voting begins on October 17 and ends on November 1 in the Milo Lemert Building (Election Commission Office) directly across from the Cumberland County Courthouse at 2 South Main Street in Crossville. Election Day is November 6.

The Candidate Forum is sponsored by the Cumberland County Chapter of SOCM, Cumberland Countians for Peace & Justice and the Ecojustice Class of Pleasant Hill Community Church/UCC.
